Abstract:
The ERS-2 Along Track Scanning Radiometer and Microwave Sounder (ATSR) Rush Fire Near Real Time Fire Detection provides imagery for fire detection. Imagery is provided in GIF format with hot spots plotted, and an ascii location file for each of the hot spots detected is provided in the World Fire Atlas format.
Fire imagery is only available for the current 30 day period on the Fire Rush server. Most significant ATSR fire images: http://ew.eo.esa.int/web/guest/home
