Abstract:
This metadata entry refers to measurements of oceanic carbon dioxide made by Aida Rios during the RRS Charles Darwin 58 research cruise in the North Atlantic as part of the World Ocean Circulation Experiment (WOCE). The cruise began on 25th April 1991 and ended on 16th May 1991 with a spatial coverage of +39N and +49N latitude and +9W and +28W longitude.
The data set consists of: -580 measurements of the partial pressure of carbon dioxide (pCO2) in the water column, computed from pH and alkalinity; and -580 measurements of the concentration of carbon (total inorganic) (TCO2) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase), computed from pH and alkalinity.
