Summary
Abstract:
The Population Database of Mexico contains geographically referenced population data for Mexican states, municipalities and localities from the 1990 Mexican population and housing census. The data include population by gender and age group for approximately 83.7% of the Mexican population. This dataset is produced by the Columbia University Center for International Earth Science Information Network (CIESIN).
The data in Symbolic Link (SYLK) format are available from the NASA Socioeconomic Data and Applications Center (SEDAC). Purpose: To provide geographically referenced population data for Mexico for conducting assessments of human interactions with the environment.
