Summary
Abstract:
Data files in the "State Farm Income" dataset mirror the statistical tables in RANKING OF STATES AND COMMODITIES BY CASH RECEIPTS, 1994, prepared by the Rural Economy Division, ERS, USDA. This report was published in December 1995. The publication presents two types of ranking information derived from the USDA's cash receipts statistics for the marketing of agricultural commodities within States. ... One type is the 25 leading commodities for each State and the Nation, ranked according to the estimated value of receipts. The second is the ranking of States by receipts from each of the 25 leading U.S. commodities and by several major commodity groups. Collection Organization: Rural Economy Division, ERS. Collection Methodology: Ranking information is derived from the USDA's cash receipts statistics for the marketing of agricultural commodities within States. Collection Frequency: Annually in the Fall. Update Characteristics: Updated in its entirety. STATISTICAL INFORMATION: The data reside in 86 LOTUS 1-2-3 (.WK1) files. LANGUAGE: English ACCESS/AVAILABILITY: Data Center: Economic Research Service Dissemination Media: Diskette, Internet gopher, Internet home page File Format: ASCII, Lotus/dBase Access Instructions: Call NASS at 1-800-999-6779 for historical series data available on diskette.
