Integrated Coastal Ocean Observations in Terre Adélie

Summary

Abstract: The observation programme will allow evaluating yearly the state of:
- the pelagic ecosystem during the summer period from Dumont dUrville to the shelf break and to the Mertz Glacier Tongue,
- the seaice zone ecosystem in winter,
- the benthic community observed by ROV in relation to icebergs and the dynamics of the Astrolabe glacier.

Quality The oceanographic data from the surveys onboard the R/V "Astrolabe" (2003- )are partly published and will be submitted in the special volume of Deep Sea Research concerning CEAMARC (Collaborative East Antarctic Marine Census) of the Census of Antarctic Marine Life.

The seaice data are also partly published such as the ROV coastal datas.

Access Constraints Species presence are available for some of the years throughout SCAR MarBIN. The other datas are limited and can be requested to each reseachers implied in ICO²TA through Philippe Koubbi.

Use Constraints 1. Data may not be used for commercial applications.
2. Please cite data providers and PI of the programme.
3. Cite ICO²TA (Integrated Coastal Ocean Observations in Terre Adélie) and CAML (Census of Antarctic Marine Life).
