Global 1x1 Degree Distribution of Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Emissions (1986) from the Global Emissions Inventory Activity (GEIA)
Entry ID:
GEIA_CFC12_CFC11
Summary
Abstract:
The Global Emissions Inventory Activity (GEIA) is an activity of the
International Global Atmospheric Chemistry (IGAC) Core Project of the International Geosphere-Biosphere Program (IGBP). The focus of GEIA is to make global emissions available on a one degree grid. Emission distribution of CCl2F2 (CFC-12) and CCl3F (CFC-11) is based on McCulloch,A. P. Midgley, and D. Fisher, Distribution of emissions of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) 11, 12, 113, 114 , and 115 among reporting and non-reporting countries in 1986, Atmos. Environment., 28,2567-2582,1994. Within countries the emissions have been distributed according to population figures compiled by Jennifer Logan (Harvard University).
