Abstract:
This georegulatory data layer represents the region of applicability
for the Endangered Species Act. Attributes were added to the spatial data file in order to provide the user with not only the the statutory and regulatory references for this law, but also the name and contact information of the state agency with regulatory jurisdiction. Purpose: The ability to visualize regulations, laws, or management structures can help policy makers understand use conflicts, point out inconsistencies in national or state policy, and educate the public about ocean issues.
