MODIS/Terra Nadir BRDF-Adjusted Reflectance 16-Day L3 Global 0.05Deg CMG V004Entry ID: MOD43C34
Abstract: This product has been decommissioned.
The 16-day 0.05 degree global Nadir BRDF-Adjusted Reflectance (NBAR) product (MOD43C3) is a Level-3 Climate Modeling Grid that provides measures of nadir surface reflectance at the mean solar zenith angle of the overpass. These measures are derived averages that are computed from the 16-day 1-km global NBAR (MOD43B4) product over all land surfaces. The 1-km ... global NBAR is computed by using the Bi-directional Reflectance Distribution Function (BRDF), which describes the characteristic anisotropy of the land surface. The MODIS BRDF parameters are modeled by inverting multi-date, multi-angular, cloud-free, atmospherically corrected surface reflectance observations acquired by MODIS over a 16-day period.
