Quality The major part of the coastline of the Australian Antarctic Territory was photograped in 1947 by the US Navy. The photos are stored as 9 inch B/W prints at the AAD. Selected photos have been scanned at 600 pixels/inch, 256 gray tones, and converted to JPEG files. These have then been written to single session CD roms of 650 MByte capacity. Consistent Position data for each scanned photo has been calculated by linear interpolation along the flight line. There may be large errors in the positions of some of the photos. Each image is approximately 15 MB in size.
