Abstract:
The Japanese Advanced Earth Observation Satellite (ADEOS) was launched
on August 17, 1996 on an H-II rocket from the Tangeshima Space Center in Japan. The launch of the Total Ozone Mapping Spectrometer (TOMS) on ADEOS continued the global measurements of ozone that began with the TOMS instrument on Nimbus-7 and Meteor-3 (1978-1994) and was coincident with the TOMS instrument on Earth Probe-TOMS. ... ![]()
